Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and be capable of performing a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively troubleshoot, maintain, and repair various systems and structures within the facility.
A hotel maintenance person is responsible for ensuring that everything in the hotel is in proper working order. Daily tasks may include changing light bulbs, removing waste, and painting. Other tasks will be assigned as needed, including fixing or replacing toilets, piping, room appliances, and vacuums. The maintenance person may also respond to requests for repairs to the inside or outside of the building. They may also do more complex tasks such as maintaining heating and air conditioning units or landscaping the grounds
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC system upkeep.
- Execute residential painting projects to enhance the appearance of facilities.
- Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Fabricate and repair equipment as necessary to ensure operational efficiency.
- Supervise maintenance staff during projects to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules with minimal disruption to operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, including the use of logic controllers.
- Strong skills in welding and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Capability to work independently as well as part of a team environment.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects when necessary.
