The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
Essential Functions
- Maintain and repair metal fabrication, powder coating and other general equipment
- Determine overall condition of machines through inspections
- Diagnose issues with hydraulic and electrical systems
- Maintain accurate records of all service, repair, and other work
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Education, Experience and Skills
- Industrial maintenance experience a plus.
- Excellent multi-tasking ability and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures and scheduling.
- General construction experience is a plus.
- Experience in plumbing and welding a plus.
- AC/DC electrical experience is a plus.
The employee must have good communication skills. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 55 pounds.
