About the Role
Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager – Litigation to join their team in Boston, Washington, DC, or New York City. This role will focus on supporting our Antitrust, Arbitration, and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) litigation practices, working closely with attorneys, firm leadership, and marketing teams to drive strategic growth initiatives, enhance client engagement, and increase market visibility.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Business Development & Marketing
Develop and execute strategic business development plans for the Antitrust, Arbitration, and M&A Litigation practices.
Identify and evaluate market trends, competitive intelligence, and business opportunities to expand client relationships.
Collaborate with partners and attorneys to create targeted client development initiatives, including thought leadership, speaking engagements, and industry conferences.
Drive cross-practice collaboration and integration to maximize client service opportunities.
Client Relationship Management & Pitch Development
Lead the preparation of pitches, proposals, and RFP responses to secure new business and expand existing client relationships.
Maintain and develop key client relationships through targeted outreach and engagement strategies.
Work with attorneys to refine their business development strategies, including individual client development plans.
Content Development & Market Positioning
Create and oversee the production of client alerts, thought leadership pieces, white papers, and other marketing collateral to showcase the firm’s expertise.
Manage practice rankings, award submissions, and legal directory listings (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500).
Partner with communications teams to promote high-profile matters, victories, and industry insights.
Qualifications & Experience
5 years of business development experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
Deep knowledge of Antitrust, Arbitration, and M&A litigation and the legal market landscape.
Strong track record of successfully developing and executing business development initiatives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling pitches and marketing materials.
Experience with CRM tools (e.g., InterAction, Salesforce) and legal industry databases.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under tight deadlines, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
