Job Title: Desktop Support Technician
Location: State College, PA 16801
Duration: 3 months Contract to hire
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains, analyzes, and troubleshoots, computer systems (Windows 10 and MacOS), and computer peripherals.
- Mobile phone support (iPhone and Android).
- Documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces software systems and hardware.
- Imaging, configuration, and wiping of computers.
- Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed.
- Hands and feet assistance on network connection issues; tracking network connections back to network switches.
- Escalates problems and issues to a higher level of support if unable to resolve.
- Represents CompuCom in a professional and businesslike manner and communicates effectively with customers and associates.
- High amount of interaction with customers, responding to routine technical questions or requests for information.
Is it a good fit? (Requirements):
- 3 years of related desktop and/or deskside support experience
- Solid experience and understanding of IT services and products - including software, hardware and network troubleshooting skills, PC imaging and deployment and IMAC experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- A Certification is a plus
