Senior Backend Platform Engineer / Las Vegas

A leading gaming and entertainment company in Las Vegas is building the next generation of immersive gaming experiences, bringing innovative technology to a massive audience. They are seeking Senior Backend Platform Engineers to join their team and help shape the future of large-scale, event-driven gaming systems.

This role requires 5 days a week on-site in Las Vegas, with relocation packages available for qualified candidates. If you're passionate about gaming and building scalable backend systems, this is your opportunity to make a major impact in the industry!

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems supporting large-scale gaming applications.
• Own the technical design and implementation of new feature development.
• Rebuild leaderboard and progressive league systems for tournament play, including automated prize payouts.
• Develop backend systems for event-driven tournaments with scheduled start and stop times.
• Prototype and implement new tournament formats, working on cutting-edge gaming innovations.
  
  

Must-Have Skills:

• Proficiency in Java or Go (ideally both).
• Experience with Java Spring Boot framework.
• Strong cloud expertise, particularly AWS and Kubernetes.
• Database scaling experience with DynamoDB (NoSQL) and Redis (MySQL).
• Expertise in event-driven distributed systems and backend feature development.
  
  

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience building consumer-facing, high-scale distributed applications.
• Background in gaming, entertainment, social casino, or traditional gaming industries.
