FKG Oil Company is family-owned, operating over 80 Moto and MotoMart convenience stores (and growing) with 900 employees in six states across the Midwest. Great customer focus is key to our success.

We seek an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk working out of our headquarters office in Belleville, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Receive, monitor, and process invoices.
• Verify accuracy of invoices and ascertain general ledger coding.
• Review and determine if invoices should include sales tax.
• Manage and prepare weekly vendor payments.
• Maintain and set up new vendors in the system.
• Ensure all vendors are identified correctly regarding 1099 status.
• Review and reconcile vendor statements and invoice discrepancies.
• Address and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of the AP trial balance to the general ledger.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college or associates degree preferred.
• 5 years accounts payable experience.
• Superior attention to detail, solid time management skills, and effective communication skills.
• Level of comfort using document automation systems and content management programs.
