Gasket and Seal Fabricators (GSF) is a 45 year old manufacturing company that cuts custom gaskets in the Midwest. We are also a distributor for Parker Hannifin seals and O-rings in the region. As an AR AP Clerk you are primarily responsible for maintaining accurately, timely financial records. The Company focuses heavily on training to ensure you are fully capable of performing all responsibilities. This will be accomplished by working directly with experienced office staff to learn the Company’s processes.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify and enter transaction details in accounting program (i.e., AccountMate)
- Accounts Payable: Enter vendor invoices into accounting system. Send vendor remittance details
- Account Receivable: Reconcile bank account with customer payments, contact overdue accounts
- General Ledger: create journal entries, prepare monthly financial statements
- Prepare financial reports for management
- File paper records for invoices, correspondence, purchase orders, and sales orders
- Coordinate with vendors & service providers to correct billing errors
- Assist office staff and perform other office tasks as assigned by the President
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of office experience related to an accounting program, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, or financial reports
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Customer oriented with high degree of professionalism
- Strong written and verbal communications
- Experience in manufacturing and/or AccountMate would be preferred, but not necessary
