Job Summary
To develop and oversee all aspects of residential services for adults with disabilities in the Moultrie county and surrounding areas, while meeting all regulatory and accreditation agency standards. This leadership positions requires a commitment to the dignity, rights and unique needs of those served by the agency. The Director will ensure the highest standards of care and support, manage staff, and promote the most inclusive, empowering, non-restrictive environment possible.
Duties
- Work with other agency staff to exchange information, provide advice, solve problems and maintain cooperative and efficient relations needed to accomplish established goals and objectives
- Represent the agency in a positive and professional manner

- Design, implement and evaluate Residential Service (CILA) programs that meet the diverse needs of participants, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Ensure services are delivered with compassion, integrity, and a commitment to excellence
- Attend in-service training as required for the position and obtain all necessary requirements as stated by appropriate guidelines
- Assume responsibility for CILA staff organization, job descriptions, job performance, approval of time and attendance records, 53R (1:1) billing, PTO approval, and in-service training attendance
- Foster a positive team environment that encourages professional growth and development
- Work closely with families, community partners, and other stakeholders to advocate for the needs and rights of individuals with disabilities and promote community involvement and integration for residents
- Conduct House Manager training, including MITC and scheduling as needed to ensure they are equipped with the skill and knowledge necessary to perform the job
- Approve purchase, travel, and maintenance requests from all CILA employees
- Coordinate necessary referrals to the Residential program and screen applicants for residential vacancies
- Interview applicants for all positions in the Residential Services program
- Conduct six month & annual job performance reviews for staff under direct supervision
- Serve as a member of the Crisis Team
- Ensure the safety of staff, volunteers, consultants, technical assistants, and individuals while attending/visiting the CILAs
- Conduct and maintain records of monthly House Meetings at each CILA
- Attend departmental, team, & Director’s meetings on a monthly or as needed basis
- Assist House Manager in finding coverage when short-staffed in the CILAs as needed
- Conduct monthly room inspections to each site ensuring safety and basic upkeep of the home environment
- Ensure compliance with safety practices such as fire drills, tornado drills, and other emergency procedures
- Fill in as a House Manager or Direct Support staff when necessary
- Rotate on-call with Residential Services Assistant
- Maintain filing, Medicare/Medicaid insurance, Social Security, and SNAP benefits for all individuals residing in the Residential program
- Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required to fulfill program needs
- Complete other duties as assigned or requested by the Executive Director.
Requirements
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field of study
- Meeting the criteria for QIDP, preferred
- Five years of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities is essential
- Supervisory or leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to manage and develop staff effectively is highly valued
- Must hold current DSP, First Aid and CPR certification
- Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of guidelines set forth by the Department of Human Services Division of Developmental Disabilities for Developmental Training programs, specifically Rule 115 and 116.
Physical requirements:
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for a long periods
- Ability to lift and carry materials or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
