Foreign Language Teacher

Duties (include but are not limited to): •Demonstrate knowledge of subject through instructional practices •Guide the learning process toward the achievement of district curriculum goals by designing and implementing lessons that promote growth in students' language proficiency in all modes of the language: speaking, listening, reading, writing and culture, using a variety of instructional techniques •Use assessment information to provide students with feedback, which is corrective and informative •Establish and maintain standards of student behavior conducive to an effective learning environment •Develop written lesson plans in advance •Maintain productive lines of communication with students, parents, and colleagues concerning both the academic and social progress of all students •Work with colleagues to develop and maintain a performance-based curriculum and criteria for standards-based grading •Implement administrative directives in a professional manner •Adhere to all District policies and regulations
