Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant/HR Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of accounting principles and practices, and will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will also play a role in various HR functions, employee relations, and compliance with labor laws.
Duties
- Prepare and maintain financial statements.
- Conduct cash flow analysis to monitor the company's financial stability.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closing activities.
- Oversee payroll processing to ensure employees are compensated accurately and on time.
- Manage onboarding new employees.
- Conduct employee orientation.
- Maintain HRIS (Human Resource Information System) data accuracy and integrity, utilizing Paycom.
- Ensure compliance with FMLA regulations and manage related employee leave requests.
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that align with organizational goals.
- Provide support for employee relations issues, addressing concerns in a timely and confidential manner.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree, or higher, in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficient in accounts payable/receivable management and related processes.
- Experience in payroll processing is preferred.
- Paycom experience preferred.
- HR experience preferred.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including FMLA compliance preferred.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
