Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts, and optimizing field operations. This role requires a strong understanding of data analysis, field/plant management, and supply chain processes. The Inventory Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our inventory systems, and supporting production planning and sales efforts.
General
- Full-time, onsite at 1073 E Birch Road, Cochise, AZ 85606
- Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm* (additional hours as required and approved)
- *Start/finish times subject to change seasonally
- Smoke/drug free workplace; may be subject to pre-hire and random drug testing
Duties
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Manage new production integration on a real time basis.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to forecast demand and plan for materials handling needs.
- Assist in the development of financial models related to inventory costs and turnover rates.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and movements throughout the nursery.
- Support production and sales planning by providing timely updates on inventory status and availability.
- Take and provide current plant inventory photos on as as-needed basis.
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse management or inventory control.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
- Become very proficient with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (BC)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data effectively.
- Familiarity with supply chain processes and production planning methodologies.
- Proficiency in using data visualization tools such as Tableau is preferred.
- Experience with materials handling equipment is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with various departments.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds with both hands, and lift and carry 20 pounds.
- Positive attitude, team player, good rapport with others, and proactive.
