Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Receiving Clerk to join our team in Salem, NH. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for managing the receipt of products and materials, ensuring accurate inventory records, and maintaining a smooth and efficient receiving process. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of products and materials.
Compare delivery contents to purchase orders and shipping documentation to ensure accuracy.
Record all received goods and materials into the inventory management system.
Assist in managing inventory levels and assist with stock counts when necessary.
Prepare and label products for storage or distribution in the warehouse.
Notify appropriate departments of discrepancies, damage, or missing items.
Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Assist with organizing and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Communicate with suppliers and vendors regarding delivery schedules, damages, or quality issues.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment preferred.
Basic understanding of inventory control and warehouse operations.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided).
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar programs.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
