Summary of Primary Responsibilities:
Establishes and maintains positive but prudent employee relations programs at the facility. Administers wage/salary, benefits, risk management and training. Responsible for contract administration as well as legal compliance and communication for the organization. Sources, recruits and retains hourly/salaried employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned as designated):
- Responsible for working safely, adhering to the facility's environmental, health and safety policies and procedures and continually monitoring the work environment to identify and communicate to supervisor/manager current or potential environmental, health or safety concerns.
- Acts as EEO Coordinator for the facility.
- Responsible for all aspects of recruiting including advertising, interviewing, preparing and sending offer of employment up to and including new employee orientation.
- Ensures legal compliance with federal/state laws.
- Administers wage/salary and benefits programs.
- Responsible for ensuring payroll is verified and submitted in a timely manner.
- Prepares various reports such as overtime reporting, open position/interviewing reports.
- Submits all employee's 401k contributions including employer matches, if applicable.
- Schedules all employee meetings and maintains the calendar accordingly.
- Actively participates in monthly safety committee meetings.
- Actively participates in daily production meetings.
- Conducts communications throughout the organization and recommends and guides discussion of difficult issues through peers and subordinates.
- Advises supervisors and managers regarding solutions to organizational issues consistent with operational effectiveness.
- Responsible for following all policies, instructions and procedures to ensure product quality and continually monitoring processes, etc. as applicable to help identify and improve current or potential quality-related issues.
- Administers organizational development and individual training programs.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, or related field or equivalent experience
- 4 Years' experience in Manufacturing
Other Qualification and Skills Required:
- Ability to work with basic mathematical equations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to utilize various software packages including but not limited to Microsoft Office software (EXCEL, WORD, OUTLOOK), ERP system, and other internal systems.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
