What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Manager position at MPP?
We are seeking a Quality Manager to support the MPP Rockwood Division. This role is responsible for guiding and directing quality and product auditing resources and functions in manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly quality meetings with performance metrics.
- Develop, oversee, and improve MPP quality systems.
- Conduct APQP activities, including cleanliness testing and quality assurance method reviews.
- Enhance customer and supplier relationships through communication, documentation, problem-solving, and follow-up.
- Lead Corrective Action Activities for manufacturing process issues, customer concerns, and excess scrap.
- Provide coaching and leadership for Quality department personnel.
- Establish and implement metrics for monitoring system effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the powder metal industry.
- Minimum five years' experience in a quality assurance function, with experience in directing/supervising others.
- Experience with an ISO 9001 quality management system.
- AIAG PPAP experience preferred.
- CQE, CQM, or Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Experience with Visio, MiniTab, and SPC software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
