A new Japanese restaurant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn focused on traditional kaisen-don and sushi is seeking a front-of-house lead to join the team. We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and friendly individual who is passionate about providing excellent customer service and creating a memorable dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
*Greeting and seating guests
*Taking orders and serving food and drinks
*Handling payments and making change
*Maintaining a clean and organized dining area
*Assisting with inventory, restocking and ordering
*Ensuring the bar program is stocked
*Providing recommendations and answering questions about menu items
*Assisting in the hiring and training of new front-of-house staff
*Helping coordinate team schedules and tracking team hours
*Helping to execute ad-hoc front-of-house projects
*Ensuring front-of-house service standards are upheld
*Managing opening and closing checklists
Qualifications:
*Prior experience as a server lead or shift captain in a restaurant or hospitality setting
*Strong communication and customer service skills
*Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
*Ability to manage team members effectively
*Positive attitude and strong work ethic
*Knowledge of Japanese culture and cuisine
*Fluency in Japanese is a strong plus
*Ability to work 5 days a week

Weekday and weekend dinners and weekend lunch
