A new Japanese restaurant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn focused on traditional kaisen-don and sushi is seeking a front-of-house lead to join the team. We are looking for an experienced, reliable, and friendly individual who is passionate about providing excellent customer service and creating a memorable dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities :
- Greeting and seating guests
- Taking orders and serving food and drinks
- Handling payments and making change
- Maintaining a clean and organized dining area
- Assisting with inventory, restocking and ordering
- Ensuring the bar program is stocked
- Providing recommendations and answering questions about menu items
- Assisting in the hiring and training of new front-of-house staff
- Helping coordinate team schedules and tracking team hours
- Helping to execute ad-hoc front-of-house projects
- Ensuring front-of-house service standards are upheld
- Managing opening and closing checklists
