Job Overview:
A die setter is responsible for installing, adjusting, and maintaining molds or dies used in manufacturing processes, such as injection molding, stamping, or casting. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient production, maintaining product quality, and minimizing downtime in operations.
CANDIDATE MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH LARGE TONNAGE INJECTION MOLDING MACHINES 1000-3000 ton.
Shift: 5 am to 5 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and install molds or dies into Cincinnati Milacron machines according to production schedules and specifications.
- Clamping and unclamping dies.
- Adjust machine settings, such as pressure, temperature, and timing, to optimize performance and ensure consistent product quality.
- Knowledge of hot runner/ valve gate/ core sequence operation.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of molds, dies, and machinery to identify and address potential issues.
- Per test run/molding process after set up.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to equipment, materials, or production processes.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth workflow and minimal downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of die setups, maintenance activities, and adjustments.
- Ability to operate 50-ton crane
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while handling equipment and tools.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a technical certification program in manufacturing, machining, or a related field is a plus.
- Must have experience with large tonnage injection molding machines 1000-3000 ton.
- Experience with Cincinnati Milacron machines is preferred.
- Knowledge of molds, dies, and manufacturing processes, such as injection molding or stamping.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to address technical issues.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Physical strength and stamina for lifting and installing heavy equipment.
- Attention to detail to ensure proper setup and quality output.
- Strong organizational and communication skills for coordinating with team members.
