Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join our growing structural engineering firm. This role will be responsible for the full lifecycle of contract management, from drafting and negotiation through execution and close-out, while collaborating closely with project teams, vendors, and external counsel. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced, technical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including vendor agreements, NDAs, subcontracts, and consulting agreements, in collaboration with project managers and external counsel.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Identify potential risks and ensure compliance with internal policies, client standards, and relevant regulations.
- Proposal Support: Assist with the development of contract-related content for proposals and bids, working with technical teams to ensure alignment with client requirements.
- Relationship Management: Serve as the main point of contact for contract-related inquiries from internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Tracking & Reporting: Maintain a centralized contract database and monitor key milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Change Orders Assistance: Support staff with implementing and managing change orders.
- Account Receivables Review: Monitor and review account receivables to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Collections Support: Assist with A/R collections as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of contract management experience, ideally in an engineering, construction, or technical services environment.
- Strong knowledge of contract terminology, structures, and negotiation strategies.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Experience collaborating with project teams and external counsel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Paralegal certification or formal legal training.
- Familiarity with proposal and bid processes in a professional services environment.
- Proficiency in contract management software or related tools.
