Job Overview
As an Independent Medical Evaluator, you will perform comprehensive assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
This challenging opportunity is ideal for licensed psychologists with a PsyD or Ph.D. from an APA-accredited program who want to take on an assessment role.
The role involves reviewing behavioral health records electronically and completing assessment questionnaires through a secure Web Portal.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments in person on each Veteran.
- Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the Web Portal.
You will not make disability determinations; the U.S. Veterans Administration makes all decisions based on your findings recorded in the DBQs.
This is a hybrid position, requiring both telehealth and face-to-face appointments with 4 Veterans per day.
Requirements
- A Ph.D. or Psy.D degree from an APA-accredited program/school.
- An active & unrestricted Psychology license.
- Credentialing requirements set forth by the VA must be met.
