Our team is seeking a Licensed Psychologist to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
The Role
- This is a challenging opportunity for a Licensed Psychologist with a PsyD or Ph.D. from an APA-accredited program/school to take on an assessment role.
- An ideal position for those interested in performing Independent Medical Assessments versus traditional patient care.
- A rewarding experience serving the Veteran community through comprehensive assessments.
- The ability to review medical records and complete assessment questionnaires to help Veterans achieve their goals.
Description of Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Review behavioral health records electronically through a secure Web Portal.
- Perform comprehensive assessments in person on each Veteran.
- Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the Web Portal.
You will not make disability determinations; the U.S. Veterans Administration makes all decisions based on your findings recorded in the DBQs.
This is a hybrid position, requiring both telehealth and face-to-face appointments with 4 Veterans per day.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A Ph.D. or Psy.D degree from an APA-accredited program/school.
- An active & unrestricted Psychology license.
- Credentialing requirements set forth by the VA must be met.
