Job Title: Disability Assessment Provider
We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
About the Role:
In this critical role, you will conduct independent medical assessments to evaluate the health and well-being of Veterans. This involves reviewing electronic medical records, performing focused physical exams, and documenting findings through a secure web portal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough medical assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day
- Review electronic medical records to inform assessment decisions
- Perform focused, in-person physical exams as needed
- Electronically document exam findings and complete questionnaires
- Analyze data from medical records and exam findings to form medical opinions
Requirements:
- Current, unrestricted NP or PA (NCCPA accredited) license
- Meets credentialing requirements set forth by the VA
