Job Description:
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review medical records electronically through a web portal and conduct focused in-person physical exams on each Veteran.
- Electronically document exam findings required by the VA through the web portal.
- Analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions.
Important Notes:
- The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant does not make disability determinations; this is the responsibility of the United States Veterans Administration.
- This role only performs Disability Assessments on Veterans; treatment and medication prescription are not included.
- The typical workload involves performing Disability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day.
Requirements:
- A current, unrestricted NP or PA (NCCPA accredited) license.
- Meet credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
