Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to conduct medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
As a Disability Assessment Provider, you will review medical records electronically through a secure web portal and perform in-person physical exams on each Veteran. You will then document your findings using the same web portal.
About the Role:
This is an in-person position that performs Disability Assessments on Veterans only. You will not be involved in making disability determinations, as this responsibility lies with the United States Veterans Administration.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions
- Conduct independent medical assessments with minimal supervision
- Manage time effectively to meet requirements and deadlines
- Hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer use
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must hold a current, unrestricted NP or PA (NCCPA accredited) license and meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
