Medical Assessments for Veterans
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to conduct medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review electronic medical records through a web portal and perform in-person physical exams on each Veteran.
- Electronically document exam findings required by the VA through the web portal.
Important Notes:
- This role does not make disability determinations; those decisions are made by the United States Veterans Administration.
- The position only performs Disability Assessments on Veterans and does not involve treating or prescribing medication.
- The typical workload consists of 3-5 patients per day.
Requirements:
- A current, unrestricted NP or PA (NCCPA accredited) license.
- Meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
