We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to conduct medical evaluations of United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
In this role, you will review electronic medical records through a secure web portal and perform in-person physical exams on each Veteran.
You will document exam findings electronically through the web portal.
It is essential to note that the Nurse Practitioner does not make disability determinations; rather, the United States Veterans Administration makes all disability decisions.
This position involves performing Disability Assessments solely for Veterans and does not involve treating patients or prescribing medication.
Average daily caseload is 3-5 Veterans.
Schedule: Part-time, one day per week (Tuesday or Thursday).
This is an in-person role with a set schedule during normal business hours, with no on-call requirements.
- Independent Medical Assessment experience
- Analytical skills to interpret medical data and exam findings
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
- Current, unrestricted NP or PA license
- Proficiency in computer usage
