We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeepers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately entering invoices into our management/accounting software, ensuring proper coding based on budgets, and seeking manager approval when necessary. In addition, this role involves scanning, copying, and filing documents as needed to maintain accurate and accessible records.
Flexibility, self-motivation, and a knack for resolving issues diplomatically are crucial attributes. Previous industry experience in property management or community associations and relevant certifications would be advantageous. Proficiency in organizational skills and computer systems is a must, as we leverage cutting-edge management systems and expect you to adapt seamlessly to new technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter transactions into management/accounting software, ensuring proper coding based on established budgets
- Process bills and invoices and ensure accurate and timely payments
- Review and reconcile vendor statements to resolve any discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions
- Prepare and process regular and recurring journal entries as needed
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including general ledger reconciliation
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any issues or inquiries related to accounts
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding accounting processes
- Scan, copy, and file documents for record-keeping and audit purposes.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable transactions.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Previous experience as an bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Proficiency in using accounting software
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and practices
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
