Job Title : Project Quality Coordinator
Location : Greenville / Spartanburg, SC area
SUMMARY :
The company is one of the leading companies in the field of transit doors and door systems. The Project Quality Coordinator responsibilities include inspecting materials, processes, and products, ensuring compliance with new and existing quality standards and regulations, implementing quality management actions, and contributing to the development of company policies and procedures. The Project Quality Coordinator provides quality support to projects from the planning phase to project completion.
Summary :
To be successful as a Project Quality Coordinator you should be able to ensure that all materials, processes, and procedures meet regulatory and quality standards, and promptly resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include, but not limited, to the following :
- Adheres to all safety precautions and PPE requirements.
- Ensure the organizational compliance with key industry quality organizations such as ISO, IRIS and AAR as relating to the handling of defective material and the monitoring and prevention of defects.
- Identify best practice and lead implementation of methods and procedures for handling material that is rejected by customers (externally). Implement process improvements, with coordination from all departments, and establish standardized work instructions.
- Issue reports (including corporate reports) and analyses relating to rejected or returned material to ensure accurate communication among vendors, internal resources and customers. Issue sales orders to ensure tracking
- Follow up on all RMAs to ensure allotted timeline is kept. Provide training of RMA and other related processes.
- Develop related measures to indicate organizational performance relating to product rejections and assist with continuous improvement against these objectives.
- Adheres to all 5S practices. Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work. Has the authority to release product for shipping process.
- Supports customer First Article Inspection process
- Supports and provides input to the internal First Article Inspection.
- Supports customer Pre-Shipment Inspections and Release Notice processes.
- Ability to perform internal and external audits
- Coordinates with field service to schedule and complete all FMI activities in a timely manner.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Adheres to applicable procedures and / or processes such as measuring and test, control of non-conforming product, change management and concession / deviation management.
- Other duties may be assigned depending on business needs.
Reports to : Quality Manager Supervisory Responsibilities : None
Qualifications / Education :
Bachelor’s Degree, or 5 years industrial experience
Determined on a task-by-task basis and monitored by Supervisor.
ISO internal auditor
Proficient at Excel
Physical Demands :

Work Environment :
