MS-IL Staffing & Packaging is hiring a Turret Forklift Operator for a local client in Greenwood, Indiana. This role is ideal for an experienced forklift operator with a strong focus on safety, quality assurance, and material handling in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Pay: $17.50 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Position Overview:
The Turret Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe operation and servicing of mechanical, motorized, and electrical equipment, including forklifts, dollies, and hand trucks. This role involves moving goods efficiently, completing quality assurance tasks, and ensuring compliance with logistics, material management, and distribution policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform quality assurance (QA) tasks to ensure product accuracy and compliance.
- Safely transport materials within the facility, including loading and unloading trailers.
- Maintain awareness of safety zones and ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Assist with weighing, banding, wrapping, and packaging of materials.
- Follow company guidelines for material handling, receiving, processing, and shipping.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- 7-year clean background check (no felonies or misdemeanors).
- Ability to pass a drug test.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of forklift or material handling experience preferred.
- Basic mathematical and reading comprehension skills.
- Comfortable working at heights up to 20 feet.
- Physically capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying items of varying weight.
- Ability to work in environments with frequently changing temperatures.
Dress Code: Associates must have steel toe boots in order to start.
