POSITION Temporary Technology Assistant - Summer Only
STARTING DATE June 2025
SALARY $16.71/hour
JOB DESCRIPTION Under the supervision of the Technology Department, to assist in installing, upgrading, and maintaining computer operating systems and computer peripherals. To provide overall technical support to District staff as assigned and supervised by the technology department. Format and install newly purchased or reallocated computers or peripherals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
1. Working knowledge of Microsoft applications and multiple operating systems.
2. Working knowledge of and/or experience with low voltage wiring specifications and accepted wiring standards.
3. Ability to maintain standards of confidentiality as applied in an educational setting.
4. Experience with the installation and configuration of networked printers, copiers, projectors and other classroom devices.
5. Knowledge of concepts and capabilities of computer systems including PC troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of equipment.
6. Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to consistently:
a. Work positively with a wide variety of people both inside and outside the school organization.
b. Work with colleagues in a collaborative manner.
c. Meet multiple demands in a pressure situation and maintain high levels of quality work.
d. Communicate clearly, orally and in writing.
e. Display personal initiative and work with minimal supervision.
f. Have strong organizational and prioritizing skills.
7. Education: Working towards a High School Degree or Diploma.
8. Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds, walk and stand for prolonged periods, and work in noisy environments.

1. Other Education: College Degree and/or certifications.
2. Experience: Customer Service and/or school district.
3. Experience with Google Applications for Education (GAFE), iPads and Chrome device management.
4. Network installation, management and troubleshooting experience.
5. Experience with the installation and maintenance of security cameras, access controls and related equipment.
