Purpose
The Assistant Superintendent provides instructional and curricular leadership that creates, implements, maintains, and enhances scholarship, instructional excellence, creativity, and achievement for all students. As the primary overseer of the curriculum, the Assistant Superintendent ensures the district’s educational objectives are aligned with state standards and instructional practices that yield high standards of student achievement. In this role, the Assistant Superintendent focuses heavily on curriculum and instruction across all grade levels, while also overseeing key district functions to ensure a well-rounded, effective educational experience. The Assistant Superintendent acts in the absence of the Superintendent and supports district initiatives in collaboration with other administrators.
Qualifications
- Successful administrative experience in education, with demonstrated effectiveness as an instructional leader in curriculum and program development.
- Valid Indiana Superintendent certification preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge in curriculum design, instructional strategies, assessment, and professional development.
- Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to improve student outcomes.
- Knowledge of state and federal educational regulations, policies, and standards.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
- Commitment to the purposeful use of technology in education and a data-driven approach to instructional decision-making.
- Doctorate preferred, or equivalent experience and qualifications as deemed appropriate by the Board.

Pay: $119,000.00 - $152,000.00 per year
