Production/Material Planner

As a Production/Material Planner, you will play a key role in supply and demand planning, production scheduling, inventory management, and process improvement within the Interiors division of Collins Aerospace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage scheduling, production dates, and material planning.
• Develop work orders, conduct Can-Build analysis and monitor customer requirements.
• Maintain inventory levels to maximize service and increase inventory turns.
• Lead multi-disciplinary production meetings and communicate with stakeholders.
• Analyze pre-order material and labor availability to meet customer needs.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) with planning bills of materials and prototype coordination.
• Identify and track shortages, ensuring proactive resolution.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree 5 years of experience, Advanced Degree 3 years, or 9 years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Prior experience in production/material planning or forecasting operations in Aerospace or Manufacturing (Distribution experience does not transfer).
• Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
• Understanding of bill of materials and drawings.
• Experience applying LEAN, Kaizen, or process improvement methodologies (no certification required).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in aerospace manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of continuous improvement (Lean) activities.
• Ability to manage and manipulate large data sets for analysis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48.00 - $50.00 per hour
