As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing remote and onsite service and support for our companies. This includes all technology including Microsoft and Google cloud services, servers, workstations, printers, networks, phone systems, copiers, and hardware and software needs. You will combine your intelligence, skills and creativity to create solutions and solve problems. We will provide you with the tools and support you need to do the job. You will respond to both support and installations, plus work on special projects and installs, so the work is varied – no two days are the same.
Position Responsibilities:
- Remote and onsite Microsoft server and network support.
- Support services for Microsoft related technologies including Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, Office 365, Microsoft 365, Azure, etc.
- Troubleshot and repair hardware and software issues. Installing Cat5 fiber optics infrastructure
- Perform software upgrades and installation.
- VOIP telephone systems, and VLAN’s
- Communication with clients as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages and making recommendations.
- Improve our department service, perception, and satisfaction
- Fast turnaround of client requests
- Enter all work as service tickets into Freshdesk
- Accurate documentation of systems, processes, and ticket details.
- Maintain familiarity with industry best practices.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and care. Professional and courteous demeanor.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
- Technical awareness: ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately
- Service awareness of all organization’s key IT services for which support is being provided
- Ability to work well in a team setting as well as independently.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
- Highly organized with superior attention to detail.
Looking for following Credentials and Experience:
- 3 years previous experience.
- Superior knowledge in Microsoft Office 365, Azure, Server, Desktop and Office applications and SQL management.
- Certifications like Network CCNA, MCSA 2012 or higher or MCSE 2012 or higher, Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
- In this position you will communicate directly with clients requiring you to have strong and demonstrable verbal and written communication skills.
