Awning Sales Representative

Job Overview

The primary functions of the Awning Sales Representative include, but are not limited to:

• Regularly (typically on a daily basis) make home calls to evaluate the customer’s needs and provide a total individualized awning and shade design solution that closes the sale.
• Educate prospective customers on and demonstrate product features, benefits, and functionality - both traditional awnings and shades, and retractable awnings.
• Take measurements at customer’s home for custom awning and shade solutions.
• Accurately prepare and send both client quotes and contracts.
• Draw customer’s order using CAD program for production by Sew and Fabrication Shop.
• Maintain regular follow-ups with paying clients and prospective customers.

Qualifications

Education: Associates Degree or Higher - Tertiary education, professional training, or certification in CAD design-related fields (including but not limited to any software tools such as Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, etc.) preferred.

Experience: Preferred experience in any of the following: Prior sales or customer service, construction industry, or architectural field.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure and measure building for finish awning and/or shade products installation.
• Ability to read construction documents and specifications.
• Knowledge of construction (i.e. building, framing, installation, etc.) practices a plus.
• Ability to transfer field measurements to CAD program to draw awning and shade orders.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Composed, poised, and professional demeanor.
• Skilled in time management and ability to meet sales goals and deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
