PROGRAM & EVENT COORDINATOR (Part-Time, Remote)
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program & Event Coordinator (“Coordinator”) will undertake a variety of administrative and program management tasks focused on the organization's programs and events. The Coordinator must be highly organized, have excellent time-management skills, communicate effectively, and engage in on-site problem-solving during programs and events.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Planning and coordinating the MBFF’s programs (e.g., Labor of Love) and fundraising events, including all pre- and post-event logistics
• Maintaining and adhering to approved program and event budgets
• Conducting outreach to corporate and community partners, elected officials, and community leaders for participation in programs (e.g., Labor of Love) and fundraising events
• Recruiting, coordinating, and training of volunteers
• Creating and managing external communications to the organization's constituency (e.g., social media, website, newsletter and event platforms)
• Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
Knowledge and experience in:
o Planning, organizing, and promoting large events
o Supervising and managing volunteers and vendors
o Soliciting in-kind donations to support programs and events
o Managing programs from inception to completion
o Budgeting and reporting
• Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent time management and organizational skills required
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with the following is required:
- MS Office, SharePoint, and Teams
- Website Content Management (WordPress)
- Social media management (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn)
- Email marketing software/ social media scheduler (Hootsuite, MailChimp, WordPress)
Other Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License and vehicle for transportation required
Education:
• Bachelor’s or associate degree with 2 years of experience required
Job Type:
• Part-time, contract position, Hybrid/Remote (some in-person presence at events)

• 20 hours per week on average
• Availability for Saturday and evening programs and events
Work Location:
• Primarily remote but in-person for events and meetings as required
