We are seeking a dynamic, energetic individual to join our team as a fully on-site, part-time Entrance Desk Attendant. This pivotal role is responsible for assisting members, guests, and employees with access, directions, and information regarding the services provided at our prestigious club. Your primary mission is to ensure each interaction is courteous, respectful, and pleasant while upholding the club's rules and maintaining its safety and security.
This is a full-time, on-site position at our club in Portland, OR.What You’ll Do
Member and Guest Interaction: Provide a warm and welcoming greeting to every member, guest, and employee. Ensure each interaction is courteous and respectful.
Policy Enforcement & Education: Enforce guest policies as outlined in the Club Rules and educate members on these policies.
Access Control: Manage access to the club using established procedures for members, guests, and employees. Monitor entrances and exits, notifying the Manager on Duty of any unapproved entries.
Guest Assistance: Assist members with signing in social and athletic guests, applying appropriate fees when necessary. Provide directions for meetings and events within the club, and information about the surrounding areas as requested.
Member Support: Contact the appropriate department or staff member to assist members and guests with needs such as handcarts, wheelchairs, or taxi services.
Emergency Response: Use the overhead paging system according to club policy and perform key communication functions during medical, fire, and other emergencies.
Parking Pass Management: Issue overnight parking passes and validate parking passes as needed.
Safety Compliance: Follow all club safety policies and procedures, identify and report unsafe conditions, and report workplace injuries and illnesses to a supervisor.
What You’ll Bring
Customer Service: Interact courteously and effectively with a diverse range of people, providing excellent and engaging customer service.
Communication: Diplomatic and effective communication with members, guests, and employees.
Administrative Skills: Basic computer skills. Ability to read, learn, and retain a significant amount of information, including procedures, clubhouse floor plans, Club Rules, daily schedules, names, and telephone extensions.
Safety and Security: Quick and competent response to emergency situations.
Flexibility: Must be available to work irregular hours, including holidays, evenings, and weekends, as necessary.
Previous Experience: Previous experience with customer service preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and withstand temperatures variations.
