The Harm Reduction Clinic Program Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Harm Reduction Clinic. This role involves supporting or supervising both clinical and non-clinical staff from various disciplines, ensuring the delivery of high-quality harm reduction centered services, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and funding requirements. The supervisor will also contribute to the strategic planning and development of harm reduction initiatives, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment for both staff and clients.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) : This position requires extensive knowledge of and experience working with the African American or Native American / Alaska Native cultures, as well as men who have sex with men, injection drug users, and those with mental illness. This is demonstrated by an in-depth understanding of cultural norms within the community, as well as having a close affiliation with and lived experience in the community.
As the Program Supervisor , your responsibilities will include :
Harm Reduction Clinic Management
- Oversee daily operations, maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
- Supervise, lead, and develop staff, interns, and volunteers.
- Collaborate on strategic planning, policy development, and program evaluation.
- Ensure safety, compliance, and accurate documentation.
- Additional responsibilities may include community outreach, education, and grant writing.

Schedule : Monday and Thursday 10 : 45 am - 7 : 15 pm; Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 9 : 00 am - 5 : 30 pm.
Hybrid Telework : This position is designated as "hybrid telework," meaning you will be working both remotely (from home) and in person at an onsite location. The designation of Hybrid Telework may be subject to change at a future time. All employees must reside in Oregon or Washington; the county cannot support ongoing telework from other locations. The onsite work location for this position is the Harm Reduction Clinic (Menlo Park) 12425 NE Glisan St., Portland, OR.
Serving the Public, Even During Disasters :
Everyday, Multnomah County staff work together to serve as a safety net for our communities. During a disaster, this safety net becomes even more critical. All County employees have a role in serving the public during inclement weather, natural disaster, or other types of community emergency response. During these emergency responses, while typically there begins with a call for volunteers, county employees may ultimately be reassigned from their current position to a role in the emergency response in order to support the critical needs presented by our communities.
