What We’re Searching For
The Municipal Association of SC is accepting applications for the position of HR Coordinator/Executive Assistant. This full-time position assists with human resources coordination while also providing high-level administrative assistance to the executive team. This position reports to the operations manager.
Job Duties:
- Assist with HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Build and maintain positive relationships with employees, vendors, members and other stakeholders including handling inquiries, coordinating meetings, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical filing systems as well as assisting with maintaining HRIS to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
- Serve as a point of contact for executive director, managing his calendar, helping to schedule meetings and coordinating travel arrangements. May also provide some limited administrative assistance for other members of executive team.
- Assist with coordinating board meetings and other events as assigned; assist with event registration; prepare and distribute information packets; agendas, badges, and other items as needed.
- Assist with coordinating employee events
- Maintain inventory for office supplies.
- Assists with inputting and monitoring work orders for building maintenance issues.
- Serves as a back-up for the receptionist when needed.
- Provides support for the Association’s online resources (website, intranet, etc.) by posting designed content.
- Performs other routine clerical work.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree, vocational technical degree or specialized training that is equivalent to satisfactory completion of two years of college education with an emphasis in human resources, business administration or a related field.
- Five years of human resources and/or executive assistance experience. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for two years of experience. Experience dealing with confidential information is required.
- Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office. Experience with human resources information system (HRIS) is preferred.
- An understanding/exposure to HR principles and practices and employment laws is helpful.
- Excellent interpersonal, detail orientation, analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, decision making, and communication skills; and the ability to work as a team player.
- Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Great organization, planning, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Proactive problem-solving skills with a positive and collaborative attitude.
- SC driver’s license
