What are the responsibilities and job description for the District Manager, East Coast position at Murad?
The District Manager, East Coast is a leadership role. This person will drive sales plans and activation opportunities in their territory and deliver sustainable growth for Murad within the Retail channel. This field team management role requires an astute business manager with strong relationship building and team development skills. The District Manager will report to the Regional Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will have a field sales background in the beauty industry with a strong focus on Sephora and Ulta.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Deepen relationships and strengthen partnerships in the field across all retailers.
- Coach, develop, and lead a District Field Team comprised of SEE’s and SEC’s
- Accountable for District freelance and T&E budget.
- Develop a district strategy to maximize sell through of inventory.
- Drive the planning and execution of events to sales goals in an assigned district.
- Leverage understanding of retailer and local market nuances and provide feedback to corporate partners.
- Drive district sales to meet metrics as outlined by leadership.
- Review and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales.
- Prepare business reviews with leadership team.
- Create and execute plans to improve brand ranking by territory in an assigned district.
COMMUNICATION, RELATIONSHIPS, AND TIME MANAGEMENT:
- Self-motivated to lead and represent Murad in the best light possible with retail partners.
- Communicate season presentation to district team and retailer field leadership.
- Communicates sales and ranking with store leadership during visits, calls, and meetings.
- Collect and report any out of stock situation to Regional Sales Manager.
- Support execution and following up regarding merchandise linear, case line, secondary location according to merchandising guidelines and retail planogram.
- Participates and is prepared for weekly conference calls, touch bases, and monthly formal touch bases.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong relationship building skills and business acumen.
- Strong recruiting and team management skills.
- 4 years relevant work experience.
- Proven, successful sales track record within Sephora and Ulta.
- Able to build collaborative relationships and work cross functionally with sales, marketing, and retail partners.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB:
- Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours a day.
- Flexible with work schedule 5 to 6 days per week
- Ability to travel.
- 50% of the time performing activity such as lifting, bending, standing, carrying boxes.

The expected base salary for this position is $85,000 to $90,000 the exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
