Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and facilitate planned recreational activities both on and off campus, according to a planned schedule, with the various groups of residential clients.
- Work cooperatively in a team relationship with RBWO leadership and staff to provide supervised care and treatment during planned recreational activities.
- Work with summer recreation aides, interns, and volunteers to provide safe and therapeutic recreational activities as indicated by the client’s treatment plan.
- Maintain safe recreation areas, including gym, art room, weight room, fields, playgrounds, pool, and ropes course.
- Maintain stall and equine needs as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED required, Associate or Bachelor Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience working with children/adolescents, preferably in a recreation setting.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a current/valid driver’s license.
- Lifeguard certification or ability to complete certification is highly preferred.
