Estimator / Project Manager – Structural Steel and Metal Fabrication

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Estimator / Project Manager with experience in structural steel and miscellaneous metal fabrication. This role requires a strong communicator who can manage multiple projects, coordinate with internal teams, and maintain exceptional relationships with clients and contractors.

What You Will Do
- Manage inside sales functions, including customer communication, order pricing, and processing
- Estimate material, equipment, and labor costs for structural steel and miscellaneous metals (stairs, ladders, railings, guardrails, mezzanines, gates, etc)
- Prepare accurate, competitive estimates to secure work
- Plan, organize, and lead project execution from kickoff to closeout
- Monitor job progress and costs, submit change orders, and maintain documentation
- Conduct regular site visits and attend project meetings
- Coordinate with estimators, project managers, superintendents, accounting, and customers
- Resolve technical or contractual issues quickly and professionally

- Capable of reading drawings and understanding fabrication processes

- Able to travel locally as needed for job site visits

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in construction, structural steel, or metal fabrication
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in both office and field environments
- Comfortable in loud, physical, and occasionally hazardous settings
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of estimating software, blueprint reading, and job costing systems
- Familiarity with structural steel and miscellaneous metal fabrication techniques
