Job Classification: Eligibility Specialist
Salary: Commensurate with longevity and agency experience, starting at $18/hour
Muskingum County Adult and Child Protective Services announces an opening for an Eligibility Specialist to be located at the Sunrise office and to be supervised by Lisa Hemmer. The appropriate and highly desired candidate shall demonstrate a high degree of mission adherence. The position consists of: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and policies related to Title IV-E funding and maintain current knowledge of Title IV-E regulations. Review and assess case files to determine eligibility for Title IV-E funding for foster care, adoption assistance, and related services. Process Title IV-E claims, maintain accurate records for financial reporting purposes and ensuring that funds are appropriately allocated and expenditures are in line with the program guidelines.
Establish and maintain continuous medical coverage for all children entering or currently in the custody of Muskingum Co. Adult and Child Protective Services; ensuring timely enrollment in appropriate healthcare programs and completing all necessary paperwork. Addressing any lapses or changes in coverage and issues related to medical billing, insurance claims, or disputes in a timely manner.
Data Entry for the Kinship Permanency Incentive Program such as review and process KPIP applications and required documentation for timely approval and disbursement of benefits. Maintain accurate records of KPIP applications, payments, and documentation in the program’s case management system.
Build and maintain effective relationships with community providers to enhance program outcomes and service coordination for all programs. Ensure the proper organization and storage of both physical and electronic records for easy retrieval. Provide support during audits or reviews to all applicable programs. Willingness to attend any trainings to help enhance knowledge of job duties and tend to other tasks as assigned.
Accounting experience preferred and a valid driver’s license required.
