Job Title: Front Desk Medical Receptionist
Location: This position will alternate between a location in Clermont and Winter Garden.
Job Type: Full-Time; Non-Exempt
WHAT SETS YOU APART
You are a friendly and organized medical practice Receptionist. You will be responsible for managing the front desk, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, answering phones, and handling administrative tasks. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, a warm and welcoming demeanor, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
You will work closely with our team of dental professionals to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental clinic
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, coordinating with the dental team to ensure efficient scheduling
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries or direct them to the appropriate staff member
- Maintain patient records and update information accurately in the practice management software
- Verify insurance coverage and assist patients with insurance-related inquiries
- Collect and process patient payments, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Ensure the waiting area and front desk area are clean, organized, and presentable
- Assist with other administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and managing patient documents
- Uphold the values of New Age Dentistry, including a commitment to service, mastery, innovation, long-term relationships, education, and safety
- Adhere to OSHA, HIPPA, and clinic safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in training and development programs offered by the clinic or external providers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role
- Friendly and professional demeanor with a customer-service-oriented approach
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in using computer software and dental practice management systems preferred
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Previous experience working in a dental or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures preferred
- Familiarity with insurance billing and coding
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
- Strong commitment to service, mastery, innovation, long-term relationships, education, and safety
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, take initiative, and problem-solving.
- Must have reliable transportation and attendance.
- Experience working with digital dental records preferred
- Familiarity with dental practice management software preferred
