We are seeking an experienced Corporate & Transactional Attorney to join our team in an Independent Contractor capacity. This role offers the flexibility to maintain your existing practice while partnering with our firm on transactional matters.
Position Overview:
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 8 years of general commercial experience, including but not limited to:
- Real estate transactions
- Commercial contracts and negotiations
- Corporate governance and compliance
- Mergers & acquisitions
- Technology infrastructure and contract experience (a plus, but not required)
This is not a litigation position. The attorney will work within our Corporate & Transactional Practice Group, handling a wide range of business transactions and legal agreements.
We are seeking an attorney licensed in Wisconsin or Iowa who can collaborate with our Milwaukee or West Des Moines office, though remote work is possible.
Primary Job Requirements:
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, purchase agreements, letters of intent, and ancillary transaction documents.
- Advise clients on corporate structuring, governance, and compliance matters.
- Manage real estate transactions, including acquisitions, leasing, and financing.
- Analyze and handle complex financial transactions related to corporate and commercial real estate matters.
- Assist with technology infrastructure agreements and related contracts, if applicable.
- Independently manage assigned matters from inception to completion, meeting deadlines while coordinating with internal teams.
- Possess outstanding organizational skills, high attention-to-detail and accuracy and advanced document editing skills.
- Must demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Educational Requirements: JD from an accredited law school. Must be admitted to practice in Wisconsin or Iowa. Beneficial if also admitted to practice in Illinois and/or Indiana.
