Responsibilities:
Strong technical safety expertise (risk management and safety management systems, loss control management, hazard identification, incident investigations, emergency preparedness and response). Knowledge of Federal and State OH&S legislation; ability to make decisions where only general policies and procedures are available requiring application of judgement and independent action. Responsible for the company’s compliance to all regulations. Recognized for the broad depth of knowledge and develops solutions to complex, non-routine issues. Exercises considerable judgment, makes own interpretations of policy and creates strategies to support Company. Evaluate and monitor health and safety hazards and develop strategies to control risks in the workplace to ensure compliance with government regulations. Main contact for health and safety issues.
Qualifications:
University Degree, Registered Safety Professional designation. Experience: 10 to 15 years
