Job description
Job Title: HR Administrator
Department : Human Resources
Reports To: HR Manager
Job Purpose
Provide day to day HR support including but not limited to employee onboarding, recruiting, benefit administration, and compliance. Maintain high level of confidentiality, strong organizational skills, able to build strong relationships with supervisory and management teams.
Responsibilities
Responsible for employee new hire orientation and onboarding
Maintaining files and records including personnel files, training, grievances and disciplinary actions
Enrollment of employee health benefits
Posting job openings, reviewing applicants, scheduling interviews
Manage absenteeism reporting
Assist the managers with the employee separation process
Support the managers and supervisors with employee related matters
Serve as a compliance regulatory advisor
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's or associates degree in related field preferred
Minimum 3 years HR experience preferred
Manufacturing processes a plus
HRIS software knowledge a plus
Intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge required
HSE experience a plus.
Understanding and knowledge of federal, state, county HR related laws and regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively interface with all levels of employees and build strong working relationships
Demonstrated time management skills
Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagrammatic form
Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Written and spoken English required/Spanish a plus
Professional Certification(s) - HR certification a plus
Working Conditions
Temperature-controlled office with moderate noise level. Occasional exposure to manufacturing area with dust, noise, moving machinery, and humidity. Personal protective equipment as required.
Physical Requirements
Office position. Spends the majority of the work shift sitting. Generally requires clear vision at 20 inches or less for reading. May include lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 25 lbs. with no assistance.
