Job Overview: The Supervisor, HR Operations is responsible for leading payroll and HR service center functions and team who support team members and employees as the first point of contact for HR inquiries, operational processes, and payroll operations. Ensure accurate, timely and compliant processing of payroll, bonuses, and other compensation related matters. Develop and oversee daily workflow, prioritization of work and management of team resources working collaboratively with HR functional leaders. Ensures team executes HR programs, policies and systems and delivers service that ensures an exceptional TM/Employee experience. Leads process improvement initiatives to optimize HR operational processes and payroll and ensures documentation and compliance standards are met.

• Plans, organizes, supervises, and monitors the HR Operations team who serves as first HR point of contact to resolve or escalate inquiries and issues related to payroll, benefits and organization procedures and policies, and execute key HR processes throughout the employee life cycle, including onboarding, off-boarding, position management, benefits administration, and payroll.

• Defines expectations and sets team goals that align with broader HR and Enterprise initiatives.
• Provides day to day direction to team members, measures performance and completes regular performance reviews. Develops and implements action plans to improve performance as necessary.
• Maintains a positive work environment that promotes service excellence, creativity, quality results, teamwork, and mutual respect.
• Ensures that weekly payroll is processed timely and accurately and optimize payroll system to meet organization needs. Serve as an escalation point to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Oversees and audits payroll calculations, deductions, insurance coverage, wage garnishments, tax filings, and child support.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
• Leads audits of State and federal quarterly and annual reports (e.g. IRS Form 941, W2's, MN UI).
• Facilitates internal and external audits by providing records and documentation to auditors as requested.
• Develops practices and procedures within HR services and payroll to support regulatory and compliance directives as required. Creates internal HR Services

  knowledge center for internal HR Services.

• Works closely with HRIS to maintain, configure ,and test payroll, time and attendance and other related components.
• Actively collaborate with HR COEs and HR Business Partners to enhance customer experiences.
• Proactively identifies areas for enhancing the customer experience and improving HR efficiencies and work with key partners to execute improvements.
• Develops and maintains services metrics and analytics to monitor operational effectiveness.

Job Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in related field.
• At least five years of experience in a combination of payroll administration and HR operations experience including a minimum of 1 year people leadership experience.
• Strong customer service focus, continuous improvement mindset and experience leading process improvement initiatives.
• Expert knowledge of applicable wage and hour laws, and IRS laws and regulations pertaining to payroll processing.
• Knowledge and experience in payroll and timekeeping software UKG experience preferred.
• Proven communications, interpersonal and relationship-building capabilities.
• Highest level of integrity and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
