MZA Associates is seeking an IT Technician / Security Compliance Specialist for on-site work in our Albuquerque, New Mexico facility.
Description & Responsibilities
IT Technician with experience in the following areas:
- Work daily with an established IT team to diagnose and solve user problems with a wide range of specificity.
- Implement and enforce security policy at a corporate level while maintaining a professional demeaner.
- Analyze, assess, plan, and implement changes to existing infrastructure and security relevant policy to ensure an increase of production quality for MZA.
- Write professional SOPs to be implemented internally.
- Create and implement tools in assistance of departmental goals.
- Track work details, including time, in an established system.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of all information.
- Independent implementation of tasks.
- Independent study of upcoming technologies with proposals for technological change when necessary.
- Potentiality for swing shifts due to the need for high availability of data integrity.
- Occasional travel due to the nature of the position.
Minimum Qualifications
- Active clearance with SCI adjudication or no pending items preventing this qualification.
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field, OR minimum 5 years previous related IT experience.
- Windows Client Troubleshooting – Windows, Outlook, Teams/Skype
- Basic Linux Server Administration and Troubleshooting
- Understanding of NIST 800-171 and CMMC
- Active Directory Administration and Structure
- Basic Linux Server Administration – Apache, MariaDB/MySQL, User Management
- Technical Writing Skills
- Basic Scripting Skills (Bash and/or PowerShell)
- Self-motivated, detail oriented, responsible person able to work independently with minimal external direction.
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced Linux Server Administration – OpenVPN, ISC DHCP, named, Samba, realmd, Sendmail, Postfix
- Microsoft 365 Administration
- Splunk Server Administration
- Security Compliance Experience
- CompTIA Network or Higher Certification
- MSCP, MSTA, CCNA Certifications
- Previous experience working in a DoD contracting environment
- Programming Skills
- ISSO/ISSM Experience
This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance at the level of the facility clearance for which the US Government requires a US Citizenship.
