Job Title: Nursing Manager of Case Management
Location: Austin, TX
Type: Full-time • Days (Rotating Weekends)
Job Summary:
The Nursing Manager of Case Management oversees hospital-based case management services, ensuring patient-centered care and efficient coordination. Reporting to the Case Management Director, this role involves supervising the case management team, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations, and promoting quality outcomes and patient throughput. The manager serves as a clinical resource, mentors staff and ensures effective use of InterQual for care progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the case management team, ensuring competency in InterQual and adherence to care processes.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to manage patient care effectively.
- Monitor and audit staff interactions, documentation, and assessments.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and ensure staff development.
- Handle scheduling, staffing, and department education.
- Assume leadership in the absence of the Director.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required, Bachelor’s preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing case management experience.
- InterQual experience preferred.
- Current RN license in Texas or compact state.
- Case Management certification and InterQual certification preferred.
Must have recent Case Management experience within the Acute care setting
