Position Location :
This position is located in Los Alamos, New Mexico.
Position Summary :
Oversees the planning, execution, and monitoring of environmental cleanup projects at contaminated sites, ensuring compliance with regulations by developing and implementing remediation strategies, managing budgets, coordinating with stakeholders, and overseeing technical teams to effectively remediate contaminated soil, groundwater, and air to restore a site to safe conditions.
Provides exemplary leadership and management accountability through the alignment and execution of goals and objectives, to ensure successful and efficient implementation and reporting of scope, schedule, cost baseline and performance of the contract activities. Assures that Safety, Environmental Management, Security, and Quality requirements are integrated into all work processes and work is performed safely and in compliance with all Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Executive Orders, DOE Orders. Key Responsibilities (may include but not limited to) :
Project Planning and Development :
Conduct site assessments and environmental investigations to identify contaminants and assess the extent of contamination.
- Develop comprehensive remediation plans, including project timelines, budgets, and work scopes, aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate and select appropriate remediation technologies based on site conditions and contaminant types.
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from regulatory agencies.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) :
Education and Experience Required :
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline combined 23 years' experience; experience should include a minimum 10 years in management responsibilities. 15 years of Environmental Remediation, Environmental Cleanup and / or Decontamination, Decommissioning, and Demolition experience wherein the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the position's duties and responsibilities have been adequately demonstrated.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements :
Medium work involves lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. If someone can do medium work, we determine that he or she can also do sedentary and light work.

This role will maintain required safety, security and operational training; assure procedural and regulatory compliance; and make safety, security and quality an integral part of every task; including taking the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises security. Ability to obtain an L level Department of Energy security clearance.
