Position Objective:
Provide retention support to WDI clients that have obtained employment in all programs by maintaining on-going contact with employed clients and carefully track all employment milestones from initial job start through up-to 180 days of employment.
Essential Functions:
- Carefully review all employment verification documents to ensure that employment milestones are achieved from Day 1, 30, 60, 90, 120, and up to 180 days employment retention.
- Conduct weekly outreach to all program participants that have been hired and started employment to provide on-going support.
- Document all client interactions in online EHR system and on internal trackers, including case notes, uploading employment verification documents, and updating milestone trackers accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain on-going contact with employed participants to identify any personal and social problems that may arise during employment and make appropriate referrals for their resolution.
- Meet clients and employers in the field to obtain employment verifications and provide client incentives for retention milestones.
- Obtain client written consent to contact employers for feedback on client progress and obtain employment verifications as needed.
- Responsible for tracking all client incentives and signatures, ensuring they are distributed accurately and are appropriately documented, paying careful attention to detail.
- Provide clients with post-employment workshops both in-person and remotely using the LMS including budgeting, financial planning, career laddering and advancement, etc.
- Work closely with Job Developers to obtain employment verifications and to reconnect clients to new, replacement or advanced employment opportunities between milestone dates.
- Attend and participate in meetings, staff development sessions and in-service training as assigned.
- Maintain and execute documentation and workflow through computer-based programs and technology that draws on basic software/computer skill set .
- May be assigned other tasks and duties reasonably related to their job responsibilities. Performs other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma with 1 year experience in social services setting, employment related experience preferred.
Skills and/or Experience Required:
- Working in an automated on-line system, demonstrates proficiency in use of applied information technology and on-line database systems; demonstrated keyboarding speed proficiency and accuracy preferred for a paperless case management system.
- Some prior professional experience working within a community-based organization or the government sector, directly serving an under-resourced population is required.
- Experience working in employment services or in social service-related field preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and to travel to various locations to carry out assigned duties.
- Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer software literacy and computer usage experience.
Salary: $45,000-$50,000 plus $3,000 sign-on bonus
