The position is contingent upon the availability of funding through NOVA.
The salary for this position begins at $48,726 and is determined commensurate with education and experience.

- Liaise with CCI program administrators at Northern Virginia Community College, including participating in weekly PC calls and coordinating with housing provider
- Organize orientation about CCI, Sinclair Community College, the Dayton region, and U.S. culture; coordinate enrollment in summer ESL pre-academic program; Encourage/support students in joining student groups/professional organizations/conferences/seminars
- Work with Advising staff to develop program plans for the 12 -16 CCI students to determine placement and program plans based on current skills and knowledge and the skills and knowledge the students aspire to develop. Meet with students 1 on 1 bi-monthly
- Facilitate weekly culture, society and institutions course, speakers and activities
- Facilitate community service and track student service hours
- Work with Sinclair’s Work-based Learning Department to assist students with internships (resumes, cover letters, prospecting, applications)
- Organize student involvement in special events such as International Education Week in November, MLK Day, Global Youth Service Day and other service and cultural events
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education, international development, international affairs or related field is required; master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with college students, international students or youth required
- Experience in management of academic program activities required
- Experience with federally funded programs and grants preferred
- Experience at a community college is preferred
- Ability to initiate projects and programs required
- Study, living and/or working abroad experience preferred
- Must have strong organizational, cross cultural communication skills – both written and verbal required
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a strong desire to assist people required
- Knowledge of another language is preferred (i.e. Spanish, Portuguese, Urdu, Arabic, Hindi, etc.)
- Must be detailed orientated with strong computer skills required
- Some weekend and evening work required; some travel may be required
- Must be approved to drive a vehicle by Sinclair and be able to drive a passenger van and transport students
